One of the many things I love about living in Southern California is not just the endless good weather, but discovering the hidden gems. There’s so much to see and do that it’s hard to pick exactly where to start, but my favorite is its coastline.
One such spot is the breathtaking landscape that makes up the Point Dume Nature Preserve. It’s an amazing place for a day trip where you can hike the summit for spectacular views or just chill out on the secluded beach.
It’s located about 20 minutes north of Malibu and about 2 miles off of Pacific Coast Highway. There’s limited parking at the top, but don’t let that dissuade you from going. There’s parking down the hill. Sure, it’ll add a bit to your hike but trust me, it’s worth it!
